On the afternoon of May 16 local time, the economic and trade seminar in celebration of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Norway was held in Oslo, Norway. Upwards of 170 representatives from the Chinese and Norwegian government and business communities attended the seminar. Li Zhanshu, Chairman of the National People’s Congress of China, and Tone Wilhelmsen Tr?en, President of the Storting of Norway, attended the seminar and met with representatives of entrepreneurs from both China and Norway.

At the seminar, Yang Rugang, General Manager of Sichuan Road & Bridge Group, made a speech on behalf of Chinese enterprises. In the subsequent concluding remarks, Chairman Li Zhanshu affirmed and praised the bridge with the largest span in the Arctic Circle built by Sichuan Road & Bridge Group and its contribution to China-Norway economic and trade cooperation and people-to-people exchanges. Chairman Li Zhanshu hoped that the two countries further deepen economic and trade cooperation, benefit the enterprises and peoples of the two countries, and promote China-Norway relations to a new height!

Hailed as the “bridge with the aurora” - the Norwegian H?logaland Bridge was officially opened to traffic on December 9 last year. Norwegian Prime Minister Solberg attended the opening ceremony. After over three years of construction, Sichuan Road & Bridge pooled the collective Chinese wisdom in bridge construction, and made innovative use of multiple technologies for the first time for the bridge. The high efficiency of “China Speed” and the high quality of “Built by China” earned recognition and praise from the Norwegian government, media and the people. The bridge serves as a bridge of friendship for China and Norway. At present, Sichuan Road & Bridge is building Beitstadsundbrua bridge, another se-crossing bridge in central Norway, which will also contribute to China-Norway friendship.
